New Albany is quite possibly the most planned community in the country. From the hundreds of acres set aside for green space to the miles of white fences and the selection of hand-molded brick, every detail was considered.
Developed by Les Wexner and friend John W. Kessler, New Albany was strategically laid out to flow conveniently from a central downtown, home to Market Square and the school district’s growing campus, to the area’s surrounding neighborhoods. The town itself is mere miles away from the city of Columbus, with attractions like Easton Town Center and The Ohio State University, providing a scenic refuge close to city fun. For New Albany residents, country living’s grand appeal along with the warmth of life in the suburbs is hard to beat. Stop by for a visit and you’ll quickly begin to appreciate what this community in the country, while still close to the city, has to offer. High Marks for Education The New Albany Plain Local School District is consistently rated among the most excellent in the state. The 13-building campus is home to a program of studies that reads like that of a college setting, equipped with an Information and Technology Center as well as a Health and Wellness Center. New Albany is also home to a branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library right in its town center. Nature’s Benefits You’ll find a park within close proximity of every neighborhood. And with more than 20 miles of hike and bike trails that wind their way throughout New Albany, enjoying the surroundings is easy to do. Area Entertainment The community comes together to enjoy several events that celebrate the town and its residents, including Spring Fest, Fourth of July, Oktoberfest, the New Albany Classic, and more. Newly completed is the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts working to enrich Central Ohio. The New Albany Aquatic Center also offers exercise and summers full of fun and friends. |
